About the Job
Join our enthusiastic team as a System Operations Specialist! You will be responsible for optimal system performance and resource utilization through continuous monitoring, effective deployment and maintenance, and robust security measures including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
The core facts
- Continuously monitor and manage system performance, ensuring optimal uptime and efficient resource utilization
- Deploy and maintain systems effectively
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure system integrity
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability, and manage database administration tasks
- Provide technical support to users, addressing and resolving system-related issues, and apply excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve technical problems efficiently
- Create and manage automation scripts to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
Your core competencies
- Proven experience in managing and deploying Linux-based systems
- Strong background in AWS services and tools
- Practical knowledge of networking principles and protocols
- Proficiency in system administration of Atlassian Data Centre software (Jira, Confluence)
- Understanding of SQL and relational database administration
- Experience in scripting and automation tools like Ansible, BASH, and CloudFormation
- Familiarity with development environments and version control systems like Git
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
