R-Flex

R-Flex is the fully digitized foreign exchange solution by RBI Group designed to simplify currency exchange. Built in-house, R-Flex operates on two fundamental principles: simplicity and security.

Launched in 2019, R-Flex has gained popularity and currently serves over 30,000 users in RBI Group banks across Romania, Croatia, and Hungary, with plans for expansion to other markets within the group. R-Flex is launched as web application adjusted to responsive web design.

In Croatia and Hungary embedded within Internet Banking platform to increase user experience through single sign on login process.

We operate based on cloud solutions (AWS). One of our achievements as part of our project is the AWS Innovation Award.

The R-Flex application consists of two modules: R-Flex and E-Flex that are constantly being developed by the team.

The dashboard allows clients to view widgets displaying real-time changing rates, execute currency exchange transactions, manage and set accounts, configure preferred currency pairs, and customize widgets on the main screen. It also provides access to transaction history with detailed information. Additionally, a comprehensive reporting module is available.

This module offers a simple and user-friendly interface for dealers and other bank employees to manage transactions and users. Bank staff can access customer data and behavior, monitor transactions in real-time, view transaction history, and configure settings such as currency pair availability, buying or selling access, account preferences, functionalities, margins, limits, and more, at both individual and group levels. An extensive reporting module is also included.

The R-Flex team currently consists of 30 people divided into “Feature Teams” working in a cycle of two week sprints. We strongly focus on close cooperation among our teams through a series of joint planning events held every three sprints. New ideas are discovered within cross-team refinements.

As part of the preparation of both requirements and production implementations, we also work very closely with our partner teams at NWU, mainly remotely, but we are also familiar with onsite workshops. Together we discover and prioritize requirements to create client-oriented features.

Our cooperation is based on building understanding for the needs of our clients: personas created with our UX team and constantly gathered clients’ feedback reflect them and strive to focus on what is important to increase value of our platform.
